Wood Legacy Transfer Scholarship

Dr. Ronald Wood, former Minnesota West President, gives Wood Legacy Transfer Scholarship.  Dr. Wood wanted a scholarship that would be specific to a Minnesota West student transferring to SMSU in Marshall, Minnesota upon completion of their degree program.  The $500 scholarship will begin being awarded Spring 2020.

The Wood Legacy Transfer Scholarship will be awarded annually to a student at Minnesota West Community and Technical College who meets the following criteria: 

1. Must be in his/her final academic year at Minnesota West Community and Technical College
2. Must be accepted to Southwest Minnesota State University for the following academic year 
3. Must demonstrate good academic standing at MWCTC with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

Dr. Ronald Wood served as President at Minnesota West Community and Technical College from 1998-2007.  He was also named Interim President at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) in July 2011-2013.
