Email for Faculty & Staff

You can access your email off campus from any computer with Internet access.

Web access to your Outlook email

Go to https://email.mnwest.edu/owa/.  Enter your username and password.

Password rules

  • May not contain all or part of the user's account name.

  • Must be at least eight characters in length.

  • Must contain characters from three of the following four categories:

English uppercase characters (A through Z)

English lowercase characters (a through z)

    Base 10 digits (0 through 9)

    Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)

To change your current password when logged in on campus
On your keyboard, hold down the Control/ alt/ delete key combination. Select the "change a password" link and follow the onscreen instructions. This will change your "Active Directory credentials" (your on-campus login) and your access to email if using the web interface.

To change your password using the Outlook Web interface
Go to the options tab in the right hand corner of the top of the page and select OPTIONS. In the right hand column, select Change Password.

Note: if you only access your email through the web interface, be sure to change your password every 90 days or you will be locked out. The web interface does not have a reminder built in to change your password.

If you've forgotten your password, you must call in or stop by to see the campus IT staff. An email is not sufficient (someone could have hacked your email). If you are adjunct or not on a particular campus, contact Brian Tonsager at 507-372-3480.
