Monday, November 13

Luverne Center

Students will write out Thank-you letters to the MN Veterans Home residents.
We will also have toy soldiers that students can take with a sign stating:
Please take a soldier home and place it somewhere that will remind you of the sacrifices that are made for our freedom.  Let it be a daily reminder of the MEN & WOMEN that are serving our country and protecting our safety.

  • A meal will be provided to students

Granite Falls Campus

Pipestone Campus | Student Commons

  • Flag Folding Ceremony presentation by two student Veterans from the Worthington campus. Please be seated by 10:55 am.
  • Any Veteran in attendance will be honored with a special token of our appreciation for their military service
  • A meal will be provided to students

Wednesday, November 15 | 11 am

Worthington Campus | Student Commons

  • 11 am - Two Veteran Students, will be doing the flag folding ceremony.  They will fold the flag and we will read the purpose/meaning of each fold.
  • Fresh-baked cookies will be provided after the ceremony for attendees
  • Veterans/Veteran Students and those students who are using Veterans benefits from a family member of a Veteran who served, will be offered a free burger or hot dog meal, of their choice, after the Ceremony over in the Health & Wellness Center. Sponsored by Minnesota West Veterans Club.
