Apply Now: Application Instructions
Carefully read the following information before you apply.
If you plan to attend a Minnesota West center or the online college, you need to identify a home campus.
Luverne applicants should apply via the Pipestone Campus.
Distance Delivery nursing applicants should apply via the Worthington Campus.
Online applicants should apply to "Online location" not a campus location.
Non-Degree Seeking Students: Instead of the eApplication, these students should follow the instructions for Non-Degree Seeking Students.
Complete the eApplication. You will be prompted to pay the one-time, non-refundable $20 application fee using a credit card or e-check. This is a convenient and safe way to speed up the acceptance process. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive two confirmations. The first confirmation will be sent by email within 24 hours from Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, indicating that your application has been received. The second confirmation will be sent by email and/or mail by a Minnesota West Admissions office and provide information about your next steps.
If you enter contact information (home phone, cell phone, email), we will use this information to contact you regarding college information, weather cancellations, and similar relevant messages. We do not resell your information.
Note: If you attended Minnesota West before and had previously paid the application fee you are not required to do so again.
In addition to the application, you must submit your official high school transcript as well as college transcripts from each previously attended non-Minnesota State institution. Transcripts from a previously attended Minnesota State college or university are automatically retrieved for your convenience.
After completing your application, be sure to login to your e-Services Student Account periodically to check the status of your application. You should receive a letter from Minnesota West within two weeks of your application submission.
