Gordon Named Dean of Nursing

Minnesota West Community & Technical College is pleased to announce Dr. Dawn Gordon as the Dean of Nursing overseeing all responsibilities of the Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing program, including the new accreditation requirements of NLN and ACEN.

Dawn has been at Minnesota West for 10 years serving as Worthington Campus Dean and Director of Nursing for the PN program. She most recently completed her PhD in Nursing from South Dakota State University graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She also has Master Degrees in Health Science Management and Business Management. She is currently serving on state and national nursing teams.

In 2015 she completed the Blandin Community Leadership Program. In addition, Dawn has recently been announced and accepted for an advanced award with the National League for Nursing for Senior Deans and Directors Leadership with less than ten in the nation.
