jennifer tackles career goals10/19/16

Jennifer Takle has an impressive list of credentials and has most recently tackled another goal in passing her CPC - Certified Professional Coder Exam!

In 1994, she graduated from Minnesota West with a Practical Nursing Certificate; in 2015, a Healthcare Management and Supervision AAS; in 2016, a Medical Coding Diploma. And now in 2017, Jennifer will graduate with an A.A.S. Degree in Health Information Technology.

In order to become a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Jennifer had to pass a rigorous examination. The CPC certification is recognized as the gold standard in Medical Coding. Jennifer's background and experience set her apart from competition in the job market.

Jennifer shared the following on her goals and experience at Minnesota West: "My experience at Minnesota West has been a very positive one. I think I have succeeded as a result of deliberate focus, organization, planning and drive to excel with specific goals in mind. My advisor and my professors have held a key role in helping me accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. My goal was to become a diverse healthcare employee with emphasis on Health Information Technology, and also to have a background in practical nursing, medical coding and healthcare management. Minnesota West has proved to be a valuable foundation for me as I am now pursuing certification in the cancer registry field through AHIMA."

Congratulations on your success, Jennifer! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors as you continue to learn with purpose!
