Students Place at SkillsUSA 2016

Minnesota West was represented by six students at the SkillsUSA competition held in Bloomington, MN on April 2, 2016.


The students competed in several different classes: Electrical Construction Wiring (ECW), Industrial Motor Controls, and Job Skill Demonstration.

First year electrician students, Jared Benjamin (Madison, MN), Collin Kor (Minneota, MN), and Chuck Lacy (Echo, MN) competed in the Electrical Construction Wiring class. Benjamin placed third in the competition.


Second year electrical students, Nate Greiner (Canby, MN) and Kyle Rockensock (Ortonville, MN) competed in the Industrial Motor Controls class.


Matty DuHoux
(Cold Spring, MN) placed second in the Job Skill Demonstration class.
