Students Attend BPA Conference

Minnesota West students from the Jackson and Granite Falls campuses attended the Business Professional of America (BPA) Conference October 19-20, 2015 in Willmar, Minnesota. The Minnesota West students joined over 115 other conference delegates from across the state to participate in general sessions and workshops. The students were accompanied by their advisors, Terri Pelzel and Pam Jensen.
The culmination of the conference was the election of the 2015-2016 State Officer team. Newly-elected state officers include: Recording Vice President, Madolyn Jensen of the Granite Falls Chapter; and Vice President of Professional Management, Bryce Reetz of the Jackson chapter (pictured).
Business Professionals of America is a national organization for high school, college, and middle school students preparing for careers in business and information technology. The organization’s activities and programs complement classroom instruction by giving students practical experience though application of skills learned at school. BPA acts as a cohesive agent in the nation-wide networking of education and business and industry. BPA is contributing to the preparation of a world-class workforce though the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.
