This reunion was open to all past graduates, instructors, and friends of the program to celebrate 20 years of technology graduates. The event began with lunch and a social hour at 11:30 a.m. and lasted into the afternoon.

The event was a great success with over 40 alumni and guests in attendance! The reunion was led by Computer Support Technician Faculty, Pam Jensen. Minnesota West Graduates in attendance introduced themselves and talked about their current positions, which range from work in fields such as health care, education, banking, construction and agriculture.

After lunch and introductions, Jensen led a discussion with alumni and other guests on what courses had benefitted them the most in their careers.

The group also discussed technology trends and developments they are seeing in the workplace and how to develop coursework to match the trends and developing technologies to better prepare current and prospective students for their career.

Guests and alumni, along with Instructor Jensen, discussed the fact that each year the need for trained computer technology staff is growing. Minnesota West is well equipped to meet the need and provide graduates to feed the workforce demand in the Computer Careers arena. Jensen noted that each year more and more industries are contacting her with paid internship opportunities for students in computer career programs. One of the many reasons Minnesota West is the right choice for students seeking a computer career!
