Granite Falls

Jackson
No on-campus child care is available. Contact Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services at 507-847-4000
for a list of local childcare providers.
Pipestone
No on-campus child care is available. Contact Pipestone Family Services at 507-825-6720 for a list of childcare
providers in the area.
Worthington
No on-campus child care is available. Contact the Nobles County Family Service Agency at 507-372-8303 for
a list of current childcare providers. Be sure to ask about the Minnesota Child Care Assistance Program.
Child Care Aware
Another resource to contact for assistance finding child care is Child Care Aware. For Jackson, Worthington & Pipestone campuses, contact Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council (SMOC)
For Granite Falls & Canby campuses, the Child Care Aware program is available through Prairie Five Community Action
Postsecondary Child Care Grant
Helps low-income students who have young children pay for child care while the student attends classes.
Course Modifications
Pregnant or Parenting Students may be eligible for reasonable course modifications, such as related to assignment timelines and absences. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the Accessibility & Disability Services Coordinator
Parenting Student Navigator
Minnesota State colleges provide access to a Parenting Student Navigator if you need assistance connecting with basic needs resources, including housing, food, and child care.
Food & Personal Care Pantry
Located on each of the 5 campuses and the Luverne Center for students. You do not need to report to anyone, you can access the items as needed.
There are food shelf services located off-campus in all of our college communities.
You have a variety of housing options, depending on which of our campuses you plan to attend. Our Worthington and Canby campuses are equipped with limited on-campus housing.
