📍 How to Bid
Offer Submission Requirements
- Interested buyers are invited to submit reasonable offers for the property.
- Each offer must be accompanied by an earnest money deposit of $5,000.00 in the form of a check payable to Minnesota West Community & Technical College.
- The completed Bid Form and earnest money deposit must be submitted together.
Offer Review Process
- Offers of $115,000.00 or greater that meet all required terms and conditions will be accepted immediately, subject to any required approvals by Minnesota West Community & Technical College and Minnesota State.
- All other reasonable offers will be accepted for consideration and reviewed weekly.
- Weekly-reviewed offers will be evaluated based on the offered purchase price, the terms and conditions of the offer, and compliance with the requirements established by Minnesota West Community & Technical College and Minnesota State. Acceptance is not based solely on the highest offer.
- If two or more offers of the same amount are received during the same review period, Minnesota West Community & Technical College reserves the right to request a "highest and best" offer from those bidders or otherwise determine the successful offer in accordance with applicable Minnesota State policies and procedures.
- Minnesota West Community & Technical College and Minnesota State reserve the right to accept or reject any offer, to reject all offers, and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process when determined to be in the best interest of the institutions.
All bidders must submit a bid deposit in the amount of $5,000.00, payable to Minnesota West Community & Technical College, as earnest money. The deposit must be included with the completed bid document.
Submitting bids: Interested bidders would submit their confidential offers in sealed envelopes, and offers are reviewed each week on Friday.

Legal Description of Property: Minnesota West Community & Technical College (the College) Students of the carpentry program built a 1,447-square-foot home featuring two bedrooms and one-and-three-quarter baths. The house shall be transferred to the successful bidder AS-IS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, in accordance with the terms of the purchase agreement signed by the successful bidder and accepted by the College. The College shall not provide any additional services, labor, or materials relating to the house, such as light fixtures, carpet, or other materials or appliances. Any such additional services, labor, or materials shall be the responsibility of the successful bidder and may be added to the house after the transfer only.
Non-winning checks will be returned.
