Students Honored at Phi Theta Kappa Induction Ceremony
Worthington, MN — Minnesota West Community & Technical College will recognize outstanding student achievement during its upcoming Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Induction Ceremony, honoring students who have demonstrated exceptional academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service.
The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 28, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the Worthington Commons. All students, faculty, staff, friends, and family members are invited and encouraged to attend this special celebration.
For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed. A link to the livestream will be available before the event.
Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for two-year colleges, recognizing students who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher while embodying the organization’s core values of scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship. Membership in PTK offers students opportunities for leadership development, academic recognition, scholarships, and meaningful campus and community engagement.
“This ceremony is an important moment to honor the hard work and dedication of our students,” said PTK Advisor, Dr. Tyler Wadzinski. “Our inductees have demonstrated not only academic excellence, but also a commitment to growth, leadership, and positive impact.”
The evening will include the formal induction of new PTK members, brief presentations, and an opportunity to connect with fellow students, faculty, and staff. Inductees will be recognized with certificates acknowledging their academic accomplishments and welcomed into the honor society. Light refreshments will be provided for attendees.
Minnesota West’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter continues to support student success by offering leadership opportunities, service projects, and academic enrichment experiences that prepare members for future educational and career goals.
