Minnesota West welcomes back its popular Solar Camp, an energizing opportunity for students in any Electrician program across Minnesota State colleges.

This year’s camp kicks off with a flexible online course in March, followed by a hands-on, in-person lab experience ending June 9, 2025. Students attending the lab in Canby can opt to stay at Carr Residence Hall for the full three-week session—making it easy to focus, learn, and connect.

Instructor Judy Drown, a leader in solar and electrical education, urges students to take advantage of this high-demand training: “There are plenty of solar installer jobs available across Minnesota.”

Past participants have raved about the experience, citing the practical skills, industry insights, and career boost they gained.

Whether you're looking to expand your skillset or break into the booming renewable energy sector, Solar Camp is your launchpad.
