This document can be made available in alternative formats such as large print, Braille,
or audiotape. For TTY communication, contact the Minnesota Relay Service at 800-627-3529 and ask them to place a call to the campus. Alternate forms of this document such
as Braille, audio, and large type may also be obtained through student services. If
you need an accommodation to enable you to fully participate in this activity, please
contact the campus two weeks prior to the training for supplement services for persons
with disabilities.
Minnesota West Community & Technical College is committed to assisting students with

Cancellation/Refund Policy
If you are unable to attend the class, you must notify us at 320-564-5020. Cancellations must be made no later than 3 business days before the start of the
class for a refund to be given. If notice is given and a transfer to another class
is requested, Minnesota West Community & Technical College reserves the right to charge
a $50 transfer fee. If the class is canceled or postponed due to insufficient enrollment
or inclement weather, every attempt will be made to contact you by phone. Full refunds/transfers
will be given for classes canceled by Minnesota West Community & Technical College.
For Motorcycle Basic Rider Courses: you must notify us at 320-564-5020 at least 5 days prior to the first session. If notice is given and a transfer to another class is requested, Minnesota West Community & Technical College reserves the right to charge a $50 transfer fee.

Senior Citizens
Senior citizens taking course(s) through Minnesota West Community & Technical College
Customized Training Services/Continuing Education will be charged according to Minnesota
Statute 135A.52, which states: A senior citizen taking a closed enrollment contract
training or professional continuing education courses must pay the regular tuition
charge for the course and is not eligible for a free or reduced rate.
Sexual Harassment
Any student or staff member who believes he/she has been harassed should report the
incident to the VP of Human Resources.
Social Security Number
You are not legally required to provide the information the College is requesting
and you may refuse to provide some or all of the information requested. However, the
College may not be able to provide adequate services (create a transcript) if you
do not provide sufficient information. Many colleges use social security numbers for
student identification purposes on student records. Providing your social security
number is voluntary. If you do not provide this number, your application will still
be processed. This data is requested for purposes of administration, program evaluation
and consumer data. Your number also may be used to create summary information about
Minnesota State programs through data matches with other state agencies.
Transfer Policy
Credit-bearing courses may be transferable into program majors as determined by the
College Student Services/Program Advisor.
Weather Cancellations
Weather cancellations and postponements will be listed on the Cancellations and Alerts
section of the Minnesota West website under Quick Links. They will also be announced
on KLOH 1050 AM, Pipestone and KMHL 1400 AM, Marshall radio stations. Full refunds
will be given for classes cancelled by Minnesota West Community & Technical College.
