JBS Better Futures Scholarship

JBS USA and Pilgrim’s are providing team members and their child dependents the opportunity to pursue their higher education dreams for associate degrees and trade certificates at Minnesota West tuition free.

Your plant HR leadership will coordinate times for the college to come into the plant and help complete admissions applications, the FAFSA, and any other forms for Minnesota West. You are not on your own in the process!

STEP 1. Sign up and approval

Complete the sign-up form on https://betterfutures.jbssa.com/ website – The program will work with plant HR to verify that team members qualify for the program.

Check your email for updates-the Better Futures Program will send several emails as part of the approval process to the email listed in the sign-up form.

STEP 2. Apply

Apply for admission through Minnesota West. Apply Here.

STEP 3. FAFSA

Complete the FAFSA Form (Free Application for Federal Aid) – This form helps to unlock federal, state, and local grants and scholarships to help lower your cost of education. (Not applicable in Canada)

Contact your High School and Colleges to request your past transcripts. Please e-mail to:

Payment

The college will directly bill the company for your tuition and any fees covered by the company, and the company will pay the college directly for those charges.

Any other charges (remaining fees, books, etc.) are paid by the student.

Enroll

Minnesota West will help you register and enroll in classes.

Once you enroll in classes, submit your class schedule every term here: corey.friend@jbssa.com
