Get ready for a full day of excitement at our annual Xtravaganza! From hands-on learning to community fun, this event is all about exploring technical careers and supporting student success.

Starting at 10 AM, prospective students can dive into interactive shadowing sessions in Plumbing, Diesel Technology, Dental Assisting, Electrical Work, and Solar & Wind Energy Technology. Experience real-world activities, meet instructors, and tour the campus to see what these high-demand careers are all about.

Community Celebration – Food, Fun & Fundraising
From 9 AM to 7 PM, the doors open wide for everyone! Enjoy a burger and brat feed, raffle fundraiser, door prizes, dunk tank, burnout contest, and connect with local industry partners. It’s the perfect way to learn, mingle, and support the next generation of skilled professionals.

What began as a small Diesel Mechanics fundraiser has grown into a signature event for our campus and community. Each year, students team up with local dealerships to showcase cutting-edge equipment, serve up great food, and raise funds for scholarships and program needs. Thanks to your support, Xtravaganza continues to thrive, celebrating technical education and the careers that keep our communities moving forward.

Every dollar raised goes toward student scholarships, program equipment, and educational experiences, ensuring our students receive top-notch training. Plus, it’s a great chance for Minnesota West alumni to reconnect and see what’s new in the industry.
