Make Plans for Minnesota State Week, June 22–26

Prospective college students are invited to explore their future during Minnesota State Week, taking place June 22 through June 26, 2026. During this statewide event, Minnesota West Community & Technical College, along with all 33 Minnesota State colleges and universities, will host special opportunities designed to make higher education more accessible, affordable, and easy to navigate.
Minnesota State Week is focused on breaking down barriers that can stand in the way of pursuing a college education. Throughout the week, students and their families will have the chance to learn more about academic programs, career pathways, and student support services, while getting answers to their most important questions about college planning.
A highlight of Minnesota State Week is the opportunity to learn more about the Minnesota State Promise—a commitment to providing a high-quality education at the lowest possible cost. This initiative reflects Minnesota State’s dedication to affordability, including free tuition for students who qualify, helping ensure that cost does not stand between students and their goals.
The goal of Minnesota State Week is to make it as easy as possible for prospective students to get the information they need to make the best higher education and career choice. By offering focused outreach and special visit opportunities, Minnesota West helps students see what’s possible and how attainable college can be.
Minnesota West offers campus visit opportunities that allow prospective students to explore programs, connect with faculty and staff, and learn about admissions, financial aid, and career planning resources. These experiences are designed to help students confidently take the next step in their educational journey.
Students who are considering college, thinking about a career change, or returning to school are encouraged to take advantage of Minnesota State Week and explore what Minnesota West has to offer.
