Volleyball
The Minnesota West Volleyball team capped off a record‑setting season with a fifth‑place
finish at the NJCAA Division III National Tournament, its best finish in program history.
After an impressive 35‑4regular‑season record, the Lady Jays entered the national
tournament as the #2 seed, riding momentum from winning the Region 13A titleand theNorth
Plains A District Championship.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Brittney McNab, who recently celebrated her 100th career win and earned back-to-back Southern Coach of the Year honors, the team finished with 38 total wins, the most ever by the program. Following a tough quarterfinal loss, the Lady Jays bounced back with resilience, winning two straight matches to secure their place among the nation’s elite.
Wrestling
Minnesota West Wrestling proudly sent three competitors to the 2026 NJCAA National
Championships held March 6-7 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Each athlete represented Minnesota
West with grit, sportsmanship, and exceptional effort on the national stage, an achievement
that reflects the continued growth and strength of the program.
Women’s Basketball
The Minnesota West Lady Jays Women’s Basketball team is making its fifth consecutive
trip to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament. Currently ranked No. 1 in the
nation and boasting a 12-game winning streak, the team enters the tournament as the
top overall seed, earning a first-round bye.
Led by Head Coach Rosalie “Moz” Hayenga, the Lady Jays completed a dominant 23-5 season, going a perfect 10-0 in MCAC South Division play, their first undefeated South Division season in more than 25 years. They captured both the Region 13A Championship and the North Plains A District title, securing their place at the National Tournament once again.
Join us as we celebrate our student‑athletes, coaches, and staff whose dedication and excellence have made this a standout year for Minnesota West. This celebration is not only a recognition of past accomplishments but also a chance for our college community to show support as these teams continue their national‑level pursuits.
