Free Welding Training Coming to Lower Sioux This Spring

Minnesota West Community & Technical College, in partnership with the Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council and the Lower Sioux Indian Community, is launching a free Welding Training program this spring at the Lower Sioux Hemp Campus in Morton, Minnesota.

This hands-on training opportunity is designed for individuals interested in developing practical welding skills that can lead to high-demand career pathways across the region. Participants will learn from experienced instructors, gain foundational welding competencies, and receive support as they prepare for employment in the skilled trades and manufacturing sectors.

Thanks to the strong collaboration among all three partners, the program is offered at no cost, making it an excellent opportunity for anyone seeking to upskill or start a new career in welding.
