The Class Notes Concert Series, Son de Cuerdas

The Class Notes Concert Series, Son de Cuerdas

Please join us for Minnesota Public Radio's Class Notes Concert in Worthington on October 7, at 6 pm, hosted by the Fine Arts Department at Minnesota West’s Worthington campus.

The bilingual ensemble Son de Cuerdas aims to engage Spanish-speaking communities in Minnesota. Established in 2023, Son de Cuerdas promotes Hispanic/Latin music through workshops, outreach, and collaborations, all fostering classical music appreciation with a multicultural lens.

The ensemble's repertoire includes classical works from renowned Western European composers and Latin American and Hispanic composers, both recognized and undiscovered. This diversity enhances the musical experience and fosters a deep connection with different cultural traditions. Audiences will be introduced to different examples of musical roles for the instruments of the ensemble. Audiences will also experience dynamic storytelling through musical characters.
Join your friends and neighbors on October 7th, at the Fine Arts Building on the MN West Worthington Campus at 6 p.m. No registration is necessary for this fun, free event.
