Registration & Records
Students will graduate with an Associate of Arts Degree, Associate of Science Degree, Associate of Applied Science Degree, Diploma, or Certificate upon the successful completion of all program/major requirements.
A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 is required for graduation. Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing requires a 2.0 per course for satisfactory completion.
To be eligible for a degree, diploma, or certificate, a transfer student must earn at least 30% of the major graduation requirements from Minnesota West Community & Technical College.
Graduation with Honors
A student will be graduated "with honors" if the cumulative grade point average is between 3.5 and 3.74, and "with high honors" if the cumulative grade point average is 3.75 or greater.
Apply for Graduation
Each graduating student must complete an Application for Graduation form for Student Services during the semester preceding graduation. The application should be returned to your local campus registration office at least one month prior to your expected graduation date.
Fall semester - August 30
Spring semester - December 30
Summer session - May 30
Campuses hold ceremonies each spring. To ensure names are printed in the programs and recipients have information to plan accordingly, the deadline to participate is April 15.
Each Minnesota West campus will host a graduation ceremony at the end of the spring semester to recognize all students who have completed the degree, diploma, or certificate requirements during the academic year.

Canby - May 9, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Canby High School Gymnasium.
Granite Falls - May 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Yellow Medicine East High School Auditorium.
Jackson - May 2, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Jackson County Central Performing Arts Center.
Pipestone - May 8, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pipestone High School Gymnasium.
Worthington - May 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Minnesota West Center for Health and Wellness.
