The Canby Campus of Minnesota West has been educating students in a variety of highly specialized technical programs since 1965. Current technical programs include Dental Assisting, Diesel Technology, Electrician and the newest program, Wind Energy Technology. The campus recognized a growing demand for qualified Wind Energy Technicians and initiated the popular program in Fall 2005. Distance learning options, such as online degrees and ITV courses, allow students access to over 25 additional educational opportunities including Liberal Arts & Science programs. The Canby Campus is also home to Student Services functions for those pursuing an Online program offered by Minnesota West Community & Technical College.

The Canby Campus is proud to offer a learning environment that focuses on the individual student. Our facilities are built for hands-on application and include modern equipment and training modules. Within the last ten years, all four technical labs/shop areas have undergone substantial renovations to improve access to hands-on learning opportunities. After just one visit, you will see that our faculty & staff have the same goal in mind: to aid students in reaching their educational goals.

The Canby community is nestled below Buffalo Ridge on Minnesota’s prairie. Stone Hill Regional Park, which contains the largest man-made lake in Minnesota, is a popular camping destination. The community is proud of its agricultural heritage and provides a friendly welcome to newcomers. Visit Canby Chamber of Commerce for more information about area attractions and annual events.
