Veterans Day Weeklong Events

Posters will be available on all campuses for students, faculty and staff to sign to thank our Veterans!

Tuesday, November 8 | Noon
Pipestone Campus

  • Student Senate-sponsored Veterans Day Meal | Spaghetti will be served
  • A short presentation from a Student Veteran
  • Followed by a tribute to those who have served our GREAT nation

Any Veteran in attendance will be honored with a special token of our appreciation for their military service.

Granite Falls Campus

Thursday, November 10 | 9am–10am
Canby Campus | Student Commons

Coffee cake and beverages will be served

 

Thursday, November 10
Worthington Campus

  • 9am-1pm | Humvee will be out in front of the college with an Army Reservist there to explain the unit and let students see the power of the machine
  • 11am | Justin Guggisberg, with the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, is going to give a short message about his time in the military

12pm-1pm Burger Feed in Center for Health & Wellness – Veterans will eat for free

 

Monday, November 14 | 11:30am–1pm
Jackson Campus | Student Commons

Short program and meal for students, faculty, staff, and local Veterans in the Commons

 

Luverne Center

Students will write and send thank you cards to our Veterans at the Minnesota Veterans Home. Cookies will be provided.
We will also have toy soldiers that students can take with a sign stating:
Please take a soldier home and place it somewhere that will remind you of the sacrifices made for our freedom.
Let it be a daily reminder of the MEN & WOMEN that serve our country and protect our safety.
