Student Email

NOTE:  Your student email login has changed to StarID effective January 24, 2013.

 

If you are a current student or have taken classes in the last year, you must use  StarID@live.mnwest.edu as your user account to login.  Your password is your StarID password (the same as your D2L and e-Services accounts).  Getting Started with Student Email details the changes and how to now login to your account.

 

If you encounter issues attempting to access your email with your StarID credentials, you may need to reset your password.  This can be done via the StarID Self Service menu Select the "Forgot Password" link and enter the required information.

 

If you are a former student of the college and took your last class prior to 01/01/2013, your email login has NOT changed.

Your email address is: firstname.lastname@live.mnwest.edu (example: john.doe@live.mnwest.edu)

Email is the official means of communication at Minnesota West.

  • All students receive a Minnesota West email account. Accounts are set up prior to the beginning of the semester after you have registered for classes.

  • Instructors, business office and other important college announcements will be sent to your college email address after you become a registered student.

  • If you are having difficulty accessing your account, contact the Minnesota West Help Desk or your campus Information Technology support staff during regular business hours.

  • Minnesota West student email accounts are hosted by Microsoft Office 365. On occasion, Microsoft conducts system maintenance which may temporarily interrupt service without warning. In most cases, this interruption is short and you should login at a later time.
