Minnesota West, also partnering with Avera Health and North Memorial, is hosting a Scrubs Camp to get students excited and interested in pursuing a career in the allied health field. Hosted on the Granite Falls Campus on Wednesday, June 5 starting at 9 am and ending at 2 pm.
Students will explore many programs showcased with working professionals and experience what it would be like to work in a particular career field. Programs showcased in Granite Falls are:
- Dental Assistant
- Medical Assistant
- Medical Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomy
- Nursing
- Nursing Assistant
- Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Surgical Technology
- Trained Medication Aide
North Memorial Helicopter Air Care is on the agenda. The typical camp experience will expose students to a variety of lab equipment and medical tools.
Lunch will be provided and the camp is free to attend. We are aiming to host juniors, seniors, and non-traditional students interested in healthcare.
Scrubs Camp is always a fun, engaging experience to get students thinking about their futures!
