Medical Assistant Program Preview

Medical assistants help physicians examine and treat patients, as well as perform routine tasks needed to keep an office running efficiently.

In small practices, medical assistants handle both clerical and clinical duties and report directly to the office manager or the physician. Those employed in large practices tend to specialize in a particular area under the supervision of department administrators.

NOTE TO ALL FIREFIGHTERS TAKING CURRENT NFPA 1001 CLASSES:
Because of the pandemic, we have been directed to reduce the number of face-to-face classes for the time being. That being said, the plan for NFPA 1001 classes will move to a hybrid format. We will provide students with online codes so they can complete course work online and face-to-face skills sessions will be scheduled once restrictions have been lifted.
You will be sent an email with an online code and instructions to finish up your FF classes, with the exception of the required skills classes. Please contact us before attending a skills session, in case the date(s) have changed.

If you are making up FF classes from a previous year, please call us at 507-847-7995 or 507-537-7532 to get information about receiving a code to continue to finish your classes or to check skills dates.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Feel free to call with any questions.
