Each email account comes with 25GB of FREE storage space for you to utilize however you want!

Login to the New Student Email System
Email is the official means of communication at Minnesota West. All email communications will be sent to your Minnesota West email account only.
- All students receive a FREE Minnesota West email account. Accounts are set up prior to the beginning of the semester you register for. All you have to do is login.
- Your instructors will use your college email to contact you with class information. They will not use any other personal email accounts (Hotmail, Yahoo, etc) to contact you regarding your courses.

Helpful Information:
Username
Your username is your firstname.lastname@live.mnwest.edu
Password
Your password is your student (or tech) ID number. Your Student ID Number can be found on your student ID card, your schedule, or on your billing statement. If you are an online student, it is on the letter you were sent when you signed up for online classes. After you have logged into your email, you must change your password to something you will remember.
Using Your Address Books
Search your Address Book for a Minnesota West student's email address or add an email address to your Personal Address book.
Troubleshooting Tips
Sometimes the security settings on your browser may interfere with the functionality of your Live email account. The following link has information on settings you should check if you are using Internet Explorer versions 6 or 7.

Troubleshooting Tips
Google Toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar, MSN Toolbar and any other Pop-up blocker software
If you can successfully login to your student email but are unable to access your email it could be directly related to a Pop-up Blocker on your computer. To remove these Pop-up Blocker programs go to the Control Panel then select to Add/Remove programs. Remove the following programs: Google Toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar, MSN Toolbar and any other Pop-up blocker software loaded on to your computer. If after removing these toolbars you still cannot access your email, contact your campus technician for additional help.
