The program listed below is only a suggested guide, and the specific courses required vary among the four year colleges. The student planning a degree in these areas should contact the Biology Department and the counselors at Minnesota West-Worthington campus for assistance with curriculum planning. This degree meets the A.A. and Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) requirements. This program will take five or six semesters to complete. Students desiring the A.S. degree may be able to complete the program in four semesters.

Students interested in this degree should choose the Liberal Arts major on the application.

Notes:

  1. STSK 1110 Freshman Seminar (1) credit is required.
  2. Fulfill a minimum of 4 credits from two of the three areas:  HLTH 1101, CSCI 1102, or any Physical Education course.
  3. *Depends on high school preparation and transfer institution.
  4. **If either PSCI 2210 or GEOG 1101 is taken to meet Areas 5 and 10, only six credits in SOC SSCI is required. Some institutions require ECON 2201.
