Sathoff Awarded Scholarship

The Granite Falls Campus of Minnesota West Community & Technical College is pleased to announce that second year Fluid Power Technology student Lyle Sathoff, of Armstrong, Iowa, was awarded a scholarship in the amount of $6,037.56 by the International Fluid Power Society, Chapter 5 Past President’s organization.  


The scholarship was awarded on Wednesday, May 8th by George Bienek and Travis DeBoer.  Bienek, who is a former president of the Chapter 5 International Fluid Power Society organization and is retired from Eaton Corporation, was responsible for organizing the scholarship. DeBoer is employed at Eaton Corporation and is the current President of the Chapter 5 International Fluid Power Society. The Past President’s Scholarship offers a full-year of tuition re-imbursement to a second year student dedicated to the fluid power industry.     


Lyle Sathoff is graduating from the Fluid Power Technology program on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013. Sathoff has accepted employment at AGCO, a major agricultural equipment manufacturer, located in Jackson, MN.
