Minnesota West has received continuing accreditation status of the associate degree radiologic technology program for eight years from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry. The program was evaluated according to the Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiography (2014).

Dr. Terry Gaalswyk, Minnesota West President comments, “I would like to focus on another indication of our commitment to extraordinary education and service aligned with the most rigorous review process – our outcome is the maximum award allowed by JRCET. With great pride, I congratulate our program faculty Falon Paluch, Sally Sieve and Dean Otkin on assuring Minnesota West students and our partners receive the most extraordinary education and exceptional value – The continued accreditation is a hallmark of quality, assuring our radiologic technology program meets the highest standards and is evidence of our continue commitment to adhering to the highest academic standards.”

The Radiologic Technology program prepares students to gain knowledge and skills necessary to perform various radiologic procedures through didactic, laboratory and clinical experiences and carries out these functions under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Instruction in x-ray procedures, equipment operation, patient care and CT imaging included.
