Seven students from the Pipestone campus carpentry program, along with instructor John Dahle, attended the National Association of Home Builders International Builders Show in Orlando, FL, February 8-12, 2012.

With more than 51,000 attendees, an exhibit floor with over 900 exhibitors, and roughly 350 members of the media on the premises, the nation’s home builders once again displayed the pride and resilience that characterizes the building industry.

Students from Minnesota West had the opportunity to see the exciting new products and services that exhibitors are offering in more than 300 building industry categories. In addition to the exhibits, students also attended the various education programs related to green building, project management, building science, and advanced framing techniques.

Generous funding provided by the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire helped to make this trip a reality for the Pipestone students.
