Incorporating New Technology

Meet Joseph Hafner, pictured left on the screen in the photo. Joseph is a 2010 graduate of Minnesota West Community & Technical College. Joseph graduated with an Computer Information Security A.A.S., a Computer Support Technician A.A.S., a CISCO Networking Certificate and a Computer Maintenance & Repair Certificate. Pictured to his right, is his Mom, Jennifer Zabel, a Minnesota West employee on the Granite Falls campus. 


Joseph is currently employed with the SW/WC Service Cooperative in Marshall, MN. Recently, he represented SW/WC Service Cooperative at the 2015 Career Expo and exhibited new technology they are experimenting with incorporating into area high schools. The SW/WC Cooperative hopes to utilize the technology pictured for high school students that are physically unable to attend school for various reasons including health and medical issues.


The SW/WC Service Cooperative is a regional service agency dedicated to advancing the work of their members (schools, cities, counties, and other governmental agencies). With a focus on partnership, innovation, leadership, and service, they are committed to building relationships with their members to ensure their work is about supporting and enhancing their members work. Authorized by Minnesota Statute as a regional resource for their members, the SW/WC Service Cooperative is a public agency that provides a comprehensive range of educational and administrative programs and services to their members.


We are proud of our alumni and the work they do to improve the lives of others.
