Career Opportunities in Fluid Power

 

Application Engineering:            Application engineers analyze power transmission and motion control situations and then design the appropriate hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systems to perform required tasks. This could be on either new applications or improving existing systems.

 

Sales:                                       Sales/Marketing Personnel market and sell Fluid Power systems and components, working closely with equipment manufacturers and customers. They call on customers and help them solve problems using Fluid Power components.

 

Customer Service:                     Customer service technicians assist the customers with their day to day needs over the phone, e-mail or in person. Duties include: provide technical fluid power information, assist with applications and replacement of fluid power components, processing customer and vendor orders.

 

Service and Repair:                   Service and repair technicians repair individual hydraulic/ pneumatic components. They will also troubleshoot systems with these components in it as well as the electrical control circuit. They may also maintain & service Fluid Power systems on machines used in every facet of American machinery.

 

Fabrication:                              Fabrication technicians build complete fluid power systems. This may include: mounting and plumbing of hydraulic/pneumatic components, fabricating mechanical structures and wiring the electrical control circuits.

 

Research & Development:         Lab technicians set up and test hydraulic/pneumatic components and/or systems to analyze the performance of these components or systems.
