Amplitude And Period Of The Modified Sine Function
The horizontal lines are at a height of +/- "a." As "a" is increased, the amplitude (distance from x-axis to high and low points) increases. (Negative values flip the graph vertically.)
The vertical line shows the length of one period of the function. Remember that a period is the distance before the function repeats itself. Notice that the period is b/(2*pi). Negative "b" values flip the graph horizontally.
