Minnesota West - Redwood Falls began offering classes in August, 2009.  The center offers a highly accessible, highly affordable approach to college for the local community.

The Redwood Falls Center is housed in the new Redwood County Government Center in Redwood Falls, MN, and offers the first two years of coursework toward a four year undergraduate degree.  Students can earn an Associate of Arts Degree through the Redwood Falls Center, and all classes are transferable to any university within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.   The center maintains two state-of-the-art, ITV equipped classrooms as well as a student work area with computer and printer workstations.  Online and distance education opportunities are also available to interested students.

The city of Redwood Falls (pop. 5500) is nestled along the fertile and picturesque Minnesota River Valley in northern Redwood County and is part of the nationally recognized Minnesota River Valley Scenic Byway. The community is rich with frontier and Native American history, with the Lower Sioux Indian Reservation only a few miles away.  It is also home to one of the state’s most beautiful municipal parks, Alexander Ramsey Park. Once part of the state park system, Alexander Ramsey Park is now Minnesota’s largest municipal park, boasting 217 acres of splendid beauty.  Redwood Falls is approximately 110 miles west/southwest of the Twin Cities metropolitan area.  For more information on Redwood Falls, go to www.redwoodfalls.org
